We had a case of the Monday blues earlier this week with a great group of vets. Got into a blue fish blitz. The shortys were quick to hit almost immediately after each cast. We were in the birds for about 20 minutes. The blues were busting topside chasing small bait. Marked some big fish but they didn’t want anything to do with us. Black sea bass, fluke, scup, sea robin and blue fish were all dragged on board. Somehow the stripers, even schoolies avoided us. We did the best we could without live bait and given the conditions. Windy, rough day on the water but we made the best of it and at least the sun came out!
