RTR and Saint-Gobain partner to make free fishing licenses a reality.

On the morning of Saturday, February 23rd, Cabela's in Hudson hosted Rifles to Rods (RTR) for our Free Veteran Fishing License event. Thanks to Saint-Gobain who provided the funding, RTR was yet again able to reach another milestone through this event where we offered free fishing licenses to veterans.

It’s been our motto since day one to put a rod in their hand and a smile on their face, and putting a license in the hands of veterans without the concern of cost has it's own type of significance. With free and easy access to fishing licenses, we are that much closer to sharing the unique benefits that fishing provides to our veterans. Thanks to everyone who has shown their support this far. We have impacted hundreds of veterans through the variety of completely cost free fishing experiences we offer. The laughs and good times have been countless, the fish stories abundant, and the satisfaction of giving our veterans a real outlet for stress has been immeasurable.

We were thrilled to see 70 veterans leave Cabela's that day with their choice of a free fresh or salt-water Massachusetts state fishing license, but if you couldn't make it down, don't worry! There are still some licenses available. Visit www.riflestorods.org or email info@riflestorods.org for more information on free fishing licenses and the numerous other fishing opportunities we offer.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event a success, proving once again that fishing is therapy. See you on the water!
